HOW THEY MET: On a night out in Maryport on August 12, 1995.

PROPOSAL: Peter proposed on Angela’s 25th birthday – May 30, 2004.

VENUE: All Souls Church, Netherton, Maryport, on August 12, 2007.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An Alan Hannah two-piece, ivory Thai silk dress with a ruche bodice encrusted with Swarovski crystals and a three-tier skirt decorated in roses from Mia Bridal, Carlisle.

GROOMSMEN: Daniel Houghton was best man. The bride’s brother Gareth Farish and friends Michael Tate, Steven Tunstall and Steven Wood were ushers. Frazer Hansen was a page boy. They wore black dinner suits with ivory shirts, ties, waistcoats and handkerchiefs, all from Debenhams.

BRIDESMAIDS: Claire Ditchburn was chief bridesmaid and wore a pink fishtail dress with ivory sash detail. Kirsten Hansen, seven, was a bridesmaid and the groom’s god-daughter 23-month-old Evie Houghton was a flowergirl. They both wore ivory dresses. All from Dresses & Dreams, Workington.

FLOWERS: Bouquets with a mixture of pink, purple and ivory flowers with green foliage from Cottage Garden, Cockermouth.

TRANSPORT: A cream and burgundy Badsworth Landaulette and a Daimler limousine from Higham Wedding Services, Hayton. Cumbria Classic Coaches provided a 1946 Leyland Tiger and a 1959 Bristol Lodekka double-decker.

RECEPTION: Summer punch and canapés at Hundith Hill Hotel, Cockermouth, followed by a three-course traditional Sunday dinner for 100 guests.

TABLE SETTINGS: Glass hurricane lamps with large ivory candles set into rings of pink and ivory flowers arranged by the bride’s god-mother Margaret Bethwaite and her friend Joanne Banks.

FAVOURS: The guests received souvenir bus tickets with details of the wedding. The bride’s god-father Brian Bethwaite and friend Robert Shearman acted as bus conductors for the journey, stamping the guests’ tickets with old-fashioned ‘clippy’ machines provided by Cumbria Classic Coaches.

CAKE: A four-tier ivory cake from Marks & Spencer with fruit and sponge layers – decorated with flowers by Cottage Garden.

FIRST DANCE: Stuck On You by Lionel Richie.

ENTERTAINMENT: Disco and entertainment by Boogie Nights, Workington.

HONEYMOON: Runaway Bay, Jamaica.
