Nicola Schofield, 23, a sales assistant, and Mark Kimmins, 26, a warehouse manager, live at Mirehouse, Whitehaven.
HOW THEY MET: At college in 2003.
PROPOSAL: Mark proposed on February 7, 2006.
VENUE: St Begh’s Church in Whitehaven on September 29, 2007.
THEME: Traditional champagne, pink and ivory.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: A Champagne, corset-style gown with diamante detail, a cascading skirt, waist-length veil and tiara – both decorated with diamantes – from the Cumbrian Bridal Centre in Whitehaven.
GROOMSMEN: The groom’s brother Darren Kimmins was best man. Scott Graham and the bride’s cousin Peter McAleavy were ushers. The bride’s cousin Cameron McAlpine and the bride and groom’s son Riley Kimmins were page boys. They wore tailcoat suits with ivory ruches and waistcoats from Burtons Menswear.
BRIDESMAIDS: Stacy Fox, 24, Kylie Phillips, 19, and the bride and groom’s daughter Sammy Kimmins, two, were bridesmaids. The two adults wore pink, three-quarter length dresses with sequin detail, while Sammy wore an ivory dress with diamantes and cascading skirt from Dresses & Dreams, Workington. Tia Watson was a flowergirl and wore a ivory dress from Little Cherubs, of Whitehaven.
FLOWERS: A teardrop bouquet of ivory roses with diamante wristbands. Pink roses for the bridesmaids and a single ivory rose for the flowergirls.
TRANSPORT: A cream and black, open-top Daimler and cream limousine from A Touch Of Class, Workington.
RECEPTION: Champagne reception for 300 guests at the Marchon Club, Whitehaven.
TABLE SETTINGS: Ivory and pink balloons supplied by Sharon’s Balloons with sprinklings of confetti.
FAVOURS: Pink, heart-shaped chocolates in net and tulle bags for the ladies and cigars in ivory tuxedo boxes for the men.
CAKE: An ivory and pink, two-tier cake as well as chocolate and champagne fountains supplied by Sharon’s Balloons.
FIRST DANCE: Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden.
ENTERTAINMENT: Phoenix and Stars and Lights Disco.
HONEYMOON: Lloret De Mar in Spain.
