HOW THEY MET: At the Royal Smithfield Agricultural Show in London in November 2000.

PROPOSAL: In Harrogate in July 2006.

VENUE: St Bridget’s Church, Bridekirk, near Cockermouth on August 26, 2007.

THEME: Pink.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An ivory Duchess satin gown trimmed with pink satin and embroidery, a detachable train, ivory crystal edging veil and a pink and clear crystal tiara – all from Country Dreams, Carlisle.

GROOMSMEN: Nick Brown, 24, was best man. The bride’s brother Anthony Skelton, 27, and Ashley Robinson, David Jones and Andrew Mitchinson, all 23, were ushers. They wore black tail suits, gold waistcoats and raspberry scrunch ties from Tom Little in Maryport.

BRIDESMAIDS: Lynne Grieve, 29, and Kate Wilkinson, 26, were bridesmaids. They wore raspberry taffeta dresses decorated in crystals. The groom’s nieces, Hannah Barnes, 10, and Katie Barnes, Emily Fisher, both eight, Lucy Winter, five, and Rosie Winter, three, were flowergirls. They wore pink taffeta and organza dresses from Dresses and Dreams, Workington.

FLOWERS: A teardrop bouquet of ivory roses, Singapore orchids, carnations, grass and beads. The bridesmaids carried small posies. Supplied by Laws, of Dearham.

RECEPTION: Hundith Hill Hotel near Cockermouth for 125 guests with a further 120 in the evening.

FAVOURS: Pink and Ivory rock with the couple’s names in the centre.

CAKE: A three-tier, ivory, heart-shaped fruit cake with sugar-craft carnations made by Mandy and Dorothy Mattocks, of Dearham.

FIRST DANCE: From This Moment by Shania Twain.

ENTERTAINMENT: Route 66, disco.

TRANSPORT: Horse and carriage from Hoof Beats, of Maryport.

TABLE SETTINGS: Tables were named after sheep breeds. The wedding stationery, with ribbons and rings, was made by the bride and her mum Grace Skelton. Balloons were supplied by Party HQ, Cockermouth.

HONEYMOON: Mauritius and Dubai.
