CLAIRE Flynn, 29, a customer service adviser at the Co-op in Egremont, and David Story, 31, a road worker, live in Egremont.
HOW THEY MET: They were childhood sweethearts who met in 1993.
PROPOSAL: David got down on one knee and proposed while at home on November 5, 2006.
VENUE: St Mary’s Catholic Church, Egremont on September 8, 2007.
THEME: Gold, ivory and mocha.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An ivory organza dress with veil and tiara from Wedding Warehouse, Carlisle.
GROOMSMEN: Darren Blackwell, 29, was best man. The bride’s brothers Chris Flynn, 20, and Andrew Flynn, 15, were ushers. Jack Blackwell, seven, was a page boy. They wore ivory suits with gold waistcoats from Charles Menswear, Whitehaven.
BRIDESMAIDS: Rachel Reid, 26, the bride and groom’s daughters Lauren, 12, and Molly Story, four, and the bride’s sister Sophie Flynn, eight, were bridesmaids. They wore dresses from the BHS.
FLOWERS: A bouquet of ivory roses with gold carnations from Flowers and Foliage, Whitehaven.
TRANSPORT: Silver limousines from Yeowarts, Whitehaven.
RECEPTION: A three-course carvery for 70 guests at the Falcon Club in Egremont with a further 80 guests in the evening for a buffet catered by Caths Catering, Whitehaven.
TABLE SETTINGS: Champagne bubbles and ivory and mocha balloons.
FAVOURS: Ivory boxes filled with chocolate hearts for the ladies, lottery tickets for men and goody bags for the children from Crown Celebrations, Whitehaven.
CAKE: A chocolate fountain and an ivory and gold, three-tier cake, both supplied by Crown Celebrations. The bottom tier of the cake had candles on it to celebrate the groom’s birthday.
FIRST DANCE: Heaven (Candlelight Mix) by DJ Sammy.
ENTERTAINMENT: A disco.
HONEYMOON: Roda, Corfu.
