HOW THEY MET: Through a friend on a night out in Workington in 2002.

PROPOSAL: Neil proposed in Disney World Florida during Independence Day fireworks in 2005.

VENUE: The Broughton Craggs Hotel, Cockermouth on April 26.

THEME: White roses and royal blue.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: A white Mori Lee strapless dress with crystal and diamante detail with a sweetheart neckline and full skirt; a diamante tiara, a gift from the groom’s aunt; and layered veil from The Wedding Barn, Appleby.

GROOMSMEN: The groom’s brother Lee Pattinson was best man. The bride’s brother Tony Courtney, the groom’s grandad Brian Weston, Craig McGuire, David Cashman and the bride’s cousin Shaun McLoughlin were ushers. They wore black Prince Edward morning suits with tailed jackets and trousers, black waistcoats and black bow ties.

BRIDESMAIDS: The bride’s cousin Debbie Brewer, 32, Clare Kinrade, 24, the bride’s cousin Clare McLoughlin, 24, and Karen Ferris, 27, were bridesmaids. They wore royal blue strapless duchess satin dresses

FLOWERS: A bouquet of white roses with crystal diamantes tied with white ribbon. The bridesmaids had similar posies with blue diamantes from Floral Design in Workington.

TRANSPORT: White stretch limousine.

RECEPTION: Wine reception for 180 guests and a hot and cold buffet.

TABLE SETTINGS: Square vases filled with white candles and silver sand; tall vases with blue crystals and candles.

FAVOURS: Donations to Breast Cancer Research in memory of the bride’s mother Jacqueline Courtney.

CAKE: A hexagonal, white, three-tier cake of fruit and sponge layers.

FIRST DANCE: Please Forgive Me by Bryan Adams.

ENTERTAINMENT: Singer Angie Richardson from Workington and MB’Z Disco, of Maryport.

HONEYMOON: Kuredu Island, Maldives.
