A LOCAL architect has scooped a award thanks to an eco-friendly design.
Wigton architect John Lyon picked up the gong in the environment category of the North West Business awards for his work transforming a rundown farmhouse and outbuildings into holiday accommodation with environmental credentials at Cockermouth.
The project was praised for a design which architecturally “fits perfectly within the heritage of the area”.
