Paula Nicholson, 24, a legal secretary, and Kevin Reynolds, 26, a process worker, live in Seaton.
PROPOSAL: Kevin proposed to Paula on the beach at Puerto Banus in Spain in September 2005.
VENUE: St George’s Chapel Paphos, Cyprus on June 11.
THEME: Diamonds, feathers and sparkling blue lights.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: A Dizzy Lizzie Dazzle silk ivory dress with diamante detail from I Do, Cockermouth. A silver Swarovski diamond tiara from the Bridal House, Maryport and a veil.
GROOMSMEN: The groom’s brother Stewart Reynolds, 23, was best man. The groom’s brother Ashley Clark, 11, and the bride’s brothers Tony Nicholson, 20, and Callum Nicholson, nine, were ushers. They wore black trousers, white sparkle waistcoats and ruche ties from Well Suited, Cockermouth.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride’s sister Megan Nicholson, five, was a flowergirl and wore an ivory dress decorated with diamantes from I Do and diamante tiara.
FLOWERS: Bouquet of white roses and calla lilies. Megan had a basket of flower petals.
TRANSPORT: White Mercedes.
RECEPTION: Zaffron Restaurant, Cyprus for a three-course meal. On their return, they had a party with a three-course meal at the Washington Central, Workington, for 130 guests.
TABLE SETTINGS: In Workington, they had square martini vases filled with crystals, blue lights and silver accessories on mirror plates. The chairs were covered with white and blue sashes. All by the bride’s mother Pam Nicholson, of Finishing Touches, Workington.
FAVOURS: Organza bags filled with mints for the women with white tuxedo boxes with chocolates for the men – made by Pam.
CAKE: Two-tier cream cake in Cyprus. Two large cakes surrounded by nine small cakes in Workington – made by Jackie Hadley, of Dearham.
FIRST DANCE: You’re Still The One by Shania Twain.
ENTERTAINMENT: Disco in Cyprus and duo. Phenomenon, Ashy’s Discos and duo at the Washington Central.
HONEYMOON: Florida and the Caribbean planned for the future.
