Hill lands night fish

HARRINGTON Sea Angling Club’s latest match took place from Harrington to Workington beach on Saturday night.
Twelve seniors and one junior fished two hours before low water and two hours flood.
Despite the good conditions only 14 fish were caught – seven cod, one pollock, one plaice, two dab, two rockling and one eel.
The winner was Alan Hill with three cod, one pollock and one plaice for 7lb 6oz. Second was Phil Sibbald with two cod and one dab for 5lb 9oz and third was Luke Holiday with one cod and one rockling for 3lb 11oz.
Holiday also took the heaviest fish, a cod of 3lb 4½oz.
