A LEADING Lake District hotel is launching it’s own food festival, with the emphasis on local produce.
The dining themes over the four-day event will be Historic Cumbrian, East meets West, Classic French and Modern British.
The Festival is being staged at the Bay Café and Restaurant at the Waterhead, Ambleside.
It launches on November 18 with a spectacular 21-course lunch for just 21 people at a price of £21 per person. Head chef Michael Weston-Cole said: “It is something I have always wanted to do. We do a lot of work with Made In Cumbria to raise the profile of Cumbrian food, we have so many fantastic producers and suppliers that we wanted to shout about what was on our doorstep.”
The festival runs November 18-22. For more information or reservations, call: 015394 30708.
