SANJAY Mohakud, head chef at Teza, has jetted off round the world in search of new food and recipes.
Sanjay Mohakud, former head chef at Teza, Carlisle
He has left Carlisle to travel round his home country of India for two months to discover new tastes and flavours.
Then he aims to return to Cumbria and open a new restaurant in the same area as Teza, on Botchergate, where he was head chef for three years.
“I love Carlisle and I am sad to leave,” he said.
“I have been here for years and customers have supported us and know me well.
“But I hope my trip to India will allow me to develop new recipes and when I come back I can offer customers good, quick food at affordable prices.”
