Kinder kids are setting example

WITH eight straight wins before today’s trip to Blackpool, United’s youth team are the antidote to the senior side’s woes and a bubbly rebuke to claims that the rot has set in at all levels of the club.
Eric Kinder’s under-18s launch their FA Youth Cup campaign at Hartlepool on Tuesday and while it’s dangerous to expect a repeat of last season’s canter to the quarter-finals, their progress is undoubtedly worth observing.
Overhyping young players isn’t a favourite pastime of this column. But the youth set-up at Brunton Park is currently stuffed with promising talent. They demand some of your attention.
