HOW THEY MET: On a night out in Carlisle in 2002.
PROPOSAL: On Lisa’s 22nd birthday after a night out in Blackpool.
VENUE: St James’s Church, Denton Holme on May 3.
THEME: Red, ivory and gold.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An ivory organza skirt with train and ivory bodice embroidered with crystals and a diamond white, two-tier veil with crystal tiara – all from Country Dreams in Carlisle.
GROOMSMEN: Tom Mawson, 25, was best man. The ushers were the bride’s brother Gavin Donaldson, 23, the groom’s brother Mark Chandler, 27, and Stuart Robinson, David Parsons, Stephen Rooke, all 25, and Jordan Armstrong, 24. They wore black tails with pinstriped trousers from Greenwoods, Carlisle. The bride’s 18-month-old nephew Harley Stephenson was page boy. He wore a five-piece suit from Just Kids, Carlisle.
BRIDESMAIDS: Claire McNabb, 24, was maid of honour. The bride’s sisters Sarah Donaldson, 24, and Laura Donaldson, 19, and friends Catherine Bell, 24, and Amal Hassan, 28, were bridesmaids. They wore fishtail garnet dresses from Capricorn, Carlisle. The bride’s niece Keighley Hall was a flowergirl. She wore an ivory dress and cream shrug from Debenhams.
FLOWERS: Hand-tied bouquets of red and pink roses with smaller versions for the bridesmaids; Keighley had red rose petals – all from Elaine and Julie Johnston, of Wigton.
TRANSPORT: A silver Beauford and ivory and black Daimler limousine from Silver Lady Wedding Cars, of Longtown.
RECEPTION: A three-course meal for 93 guests at the Shepherds Inn, Carlisle followed by an evening reception, with hot buffet, for a further 120 guests.
TABLE SETTINGS: Tall vases of silk flowers, white lilies and red gladioli by Elaine and Julie Johnstone with balloon clusters by Colin Cupid, of Carlisle.
FAVOURS: Candles for the ladies and scratch cards for the men, in red bags with bride and groom’s name and wedding date printed on them.
CAKE: A five-tier cake made of sponge and fruit covered in gold and red ribbon, hearts and stars – supplied by Sonya Kelly.
FIRST DANCE: A Million Love Songs by Take That.
ENTERTAINMENT: Disco by Misty River, Carlisle.
HONEYMOON: Elysium Hotel, Paphos, Cyprus. Family and friends flew out the second week with the couple’s 10-month-old son Finley.
