Last updated 19:23, Thursday, 06 November 2008
MARYPORT Golf Club was packed recently when the season’s prizes were presented.
The men’s champion was Richard Cook while Rebecca Edwards took the ladies’ title and Matthew Wilkinson was the junior champion.
Lady president Maryport Moody presented the prizes along with club president Robert Bell.
Junior champion Wilkinson could not attend so a very proud grandad, Jack Wilkinson, received the cup on his behalf.
Sadly club captain Clive Johnston died suddenly during the season. A special competition was held, giving the proceeds to Clive's special charities.
The Clive Johnston Memorial Trophies were presented by Jimmy Wood to: men, R Rochester; ladies, D Edwards; junior, G Teasdale.
