U10s host Malta side at tournament
Last updated 19:39, Thursday, 06 November 2008
WEST Cumbria Youth Football League played host to the Godwin Pulis Academy team from Malta in a mini tournament over two days at Whitehaven AFC.
COCKERMOUTH: The Cockermouth U10 side which took part in the tournament
The teams – boys and girls at U10 level – were Whitehaven AFC A and B, Frizington Whitestar and Cockermouth.
There was some excellent football, especially by the Godwin Pulis boys who were very fast, skilful and strong, proving to be too good for the West Cumbrian teams by winning every game on both days.
The tournament was played in a good, friendly spirit and enjoyed by all.
Godwin Pulis has invited the West Cumbrians to play in Malta some time next year.
