Courses in Christmas cooking

IF you want to improve your cooking in time for Christmas and get some new ideas for the festive holidays, there’s a series of courses just for you.
Top Cumbrian cooks Gillian Harris and Anna Rowley are staging cookery courses at Greystoke Cycle Café to help you gear up for Christmas.
Canapés , bread and cakes are on the menu over the coming weeks.
Anna, from Little Salkeld, trained with the famous Darina Allen as her mentor at the Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland. Gillian, from Calthwaite, is known countywide for her knowledge of bread making, and her skill in sugarcraft and icings.
Courses costs £40 per person and include all refreshments and lunch.
