SIXTY people took part in Workington and District IFC’s young cock show, which was judged by J Moreau of Cleator Moor.

Results: 1 and 3, A Bromley; 2 and 6, J A Edgar; 4, 8 N G Wordsworth; 5, K Carr; 7, W Hughes.

The club’s series of shows continued last night with young hens while next Thursday it is for young cocks and hens.

The shows are at Harrington British Legion clubhouse on Salterbeck Road, Workington. Penning is at 7pm and judging at 8pm.

Great Clifton HS continued its shows with one of old hens, judged by Paul Kenny.

Results: 1 and 3, Hatfield and Devlin, Workington Victoria; 2, M Cartwright, Harrington Central; 4 and 7, Wedgewood and Burridge, Great Clifton; 5 and 6, Evans and Abrahams, Workington Victoria; 8, Steele and Lawman, Workington Victoria.

The club’s next show, tomorrow in the Lions Club, Great Clifton, at 2pm, is for young cocks.
