Pupils compete in tournament

SPORTS diploma students at Lakes College West Cumbria have staged a football tournament for Year 7 pupils.
CORRECTION: In last week’s Junior Sport article about a football tournament at the Lakes College, the young man in this picture was wrongly named. He is actually Stainburn School pupil Bradley Nicholson
Four schools – Stainburn, Netherhall, Whitehaven, and Lakes Adacemy – sent boys’ and girls’ sides along to play.
The boys’ competition was won by Netherhall while Stainburn’s girls were also triumphant.
Workington Reds manager Darren Edmondson, who works on the college’s sporting staff, presented the trophies.
