McDermott and O'Connor to star at Tunstall dinner

Two living legends of rugby league will help send departing Workington Town star Matthew Tunstall off in style next year.
RL icons Barrie McDermott and Terry O’Connor are guests of honour at a sportsman’s dinner for the 31-year-old at the Washington Central Hotel on January 31.
Tunstall, who is celebrating his testimonial year after more than a decade at Derwent Park, has enjoyed one of his best ever seasons, collecting four awards for his barnstorming performances during a disappointing campaign for the club.
The Scottish international prop will join Whitehaven next season after 12 years with the club.
Close pals McDermott and O’Connor, who regularly appear in knockabout features for Sky Sports, are guest speakers at the event. Howard Nicholson is MC for the night.
Former Leeds Rhinos star McDermott played in two grand finals, four challenge cup finals and a world club challenge. He appeared 283 time for Leeds, scoring 40 tries.
Wigan legend O’Connor played 14 times for Great Britain.
