A SERIES of events has been developed to help businesses through difficult economic times.
Events under the banner ‘When The Going Gets Tough’, which started this month, concentrate on five key areas which affect business profitability and productivity, helping companies to tackle the difficulties of the credit crunch.
Organised by Invest in Cumbria, Cumbria Chamber of Commerce and Dodd & Co accountants, the sessions see a range of presentations and interactive activities covering topics from finance to marketing on a tight budget.
Rob Johnston, chief executive of Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said: “These are really tough times. At Cumbria Chamber of Commerce our key role is to help Cumbrian businesses grow and develop, which is why we’ve put on this series of practical events to help businesses through the current crisis and to prosper moving forward.
“We’ve pulled together an excellent set of speakers and sessions.”
John Grainger of Invest in Cumbria added: “This is a real practical initiative through which business people can share their experiences, knowledge and practical advice to help Cumbrian businesses through these difficult times.”
Claire Phillips of Dodd & Co accountants said: “We are delighted to be involved in putting together these events which will help the business community of Cumbria to get through the difficult times ahead.”
Businesses of all sizes from any sector are invited to attend. For more information, visit the Chamber of Commerce website at www.cumbriachamber.co.uk
