WEST Lakes Academy has a strong emphasis on achievement and success and nurturing talent in all its forms.

We want to raise aspirations and we encourage our young people to consider progressing into higher education. Our specialisms are Science and Business Enterprise.

We have a substantial endowment from Sellafield Ltd which we are using for the benefit of our students.

We are working on the design of an inspirational new building, scheduled for occupation in September 2011. This will be ICT-rich and environmentally friendly and will also assist the area’s regeneration as the Energy Coast.
