Good effort, but I don’t need any more Wogan

LET'S face it, I am a grumpy old git and proud of it. And if there's one day in the year that really winds me up it's the annual Children in Need bash.
Now I know that they raise millions of pounds for good causes.
This year the Beeb's appeal defied the credit crunch with a record opening-night haul of £21 million.
But I would willingly pay good money not to have my television night ruined by Terry Wogan's endless jollity and newsreaders prancing about in various items of fancy dress and sometimes undress.
In fact I am tempted to write to the BBC asking for a one-day refund on my licence fee to cover the fact that I was forced into watching the Welsh channel all evening just to get away from the inane nonsense that passes for entertainment on these occasions.
