THE action came thick and fast at Cumbria Kart Racing Club’s November meeting at the Rowrah Circuit.
In the cadet class, Matthew Graham started on pole but immediately lost this position to Abbie Carruthers.
The pair battled it out until the third lap when Graham pulled away. Carruthers never quite managed to catch Graham and so finished in second five seconds behind.
Tom Thickpenny took third ahead of Chad Little who started down in sixth. Nathan Aston finished fifth despite putting a good fight to both Thickpenny and Little.
In the rotax max final, John Stewart started on pole and led every lap of the race to win by the narrowest of margins to Andrew Harvie who started in sixth. Tom Shipman worked his way up throughout the laps of the final from 10th to take third ahead of Robert Gilmour.
In the junior max final, starting from pole, Craig Mitchell led every lap to win under a second ahead of Paul Hardy. Hardy started in third but had taken second by the end of the first lap.
Jay Taylor, who had started in sixth, managed to work his way up and take third to cross the line in front of Daniel Tate.
In the junior TKM final, starting from fifth Sophie Lanc worked her way up through the first few laps until on the eighth lap she took first from Ross Fenty.
Fenty started down in seventh and managed to maintain second until the end. Aaron Mansergh started second but took third closely followed by Lisa Playfair.
After starting on pole Matthew Grierson unfortunately was knocked off, resulting in him following his brother, Daniel Grierson, over the line in sixth position.
In the mini max final, starting from third position Kyle Fowlie had climbed to second by the end of the first lap and took the lead from Jordan Houghton on lap three to win by three seconds ahead of Houghton.
Scott Mackrell, who started in seventh, took third ahead of Lewis Binks.
