Last updated 19:25, Thursday, 20 November 2008
A single goal from Jordan Ferguson was all that separated these two U12 sides.
Workington Jnrs A 1
Workington Jnrs B 0
It was a battling derby game in which Lewis Hull took the man-of-the-match honours for the A team and keeper Kieran O’Hagan for the B side.
Workington Jnrs 2

The first half of this U10 game was very even, with both sides playing well but unable to score.

Workington clinched the game with a second Powell goal.
Cockermouth’s keeper, Mark Ogilvie, was on excellent form and was their man of the match.
Calder 1
Cockermouth JFC (B) 9
Cockermouth attacked from the kick-off in this U10 game and gave the Calder defence a torrid time with their excellent passing football.
Cockermouth took the lead through Ryan Gorley who went on to find the net five times.
Calder scored in the first half but goals from Gorley and Ronan Kingsbury made the half-time score 5-1.
The second half continued as the first ended. Any chances Calder had were bravely dealt with by keeper Jordan Eland who took the man-of-the-match award.
Cockermouth completed the second half with further goals from Gorley, Kingsbury, Thomas White and Owen Gibson, who converted an excellent cross from Shay Tinnion.
Whitehaven MS 4

For the first 10 minutes neither side could break through. But then Miners opened a 3-0 lead before Brad Petre scored for Workington.
In the second half Miners’ defence looked like holding firm but then Petre scored again and Brandon Renney added a third for Workington to set up a tense last few minutes.
