VISITORS to a Workington school fair next month will have the chance to win a top-of-the-range driving experience – for just 20 pence.
Beckstone Primary School, Harrington, will offer the chance to drive a new Renault Mégane Hatch for a weekend, at its Christmas fair on December 5.
The car will only go on general sale at the end of this month, meaning that the winner will be among the first to drive it.
Headteacher David Warbrick said: “We’re hoping to raise over £1,000 so this prize is really going to help us achieve that.”
The car is being put up by the Graham & Bowness dealership, of Clay Flatts Trading Estate in Workington.
Ross Hodgson, dealer principal, said: “It’s great that we could help out the school and we hope the prize helps to raise lots of money.”
All of the funds raised will be put towards redevelopment of the school grounds.
The fair will be open from 2pm to 3.30pm, with free admission. The draw itself will be made on December 15.
