No dogs in Great Clifton play area plan

A PLAY area in Great Clifton has been designated a ‘no dogs’ area.
Allerdale council agreed to make the children’s play area on Williams Street a ‘no dog fouling’ zone.
The move came after parish council members wrote to Allerdale legal executive Trevor Gear last month to make the park a designated zone.
Continuous dog fouling meant that the play area was becoming unclean for young children to use.
Great Clifton Parish Council clerk Margaret Pearson said: “It has been agreed by Allerdale that the play area is now a dog exclusion area.
“A date to erect signs and a new fence will be released to us in due course.”
