Eight pairs compete in autumn mixed greensomes

EIGHT pairs entered the autumn mixed greensomes and the winners were Joanna Hadfield and Geoff Bartle with 81, 66 nett.
The runners-up were Elsie Huddart and Ray Donohoe 84, 69 and other good scores included Sandra Boyes and Richard Wimpress 86, 71, lady captain Anne Donohoe and John McGuire 89, 71, Jane McGuire and Neil Hadfield 91, 73 and Joan Gould and Andy Semple 89, 74.
Forty men entered the Winter Competition round three and the leading scores were Andy Semple 76, 62 nett, Geoff Bartle 79, 66, Malcolm Dixon 77, 67, Ronnie Walker 79, 67, Tom Williamson 82, 68, Charles Neale 74, 68, Geoff Wright 84, 68, Stuart Allen 81, 69, David Watson 75, 70, Niall McGreevy 79, 70, John Moyes 78, 70 and Adrian Murray 85, 70.
Winning five golf balls for a Two were Nick Laidlow (17th), David Lake (16th), Moyes (4th), Andy Stott (17th), Kevin Watson (9th) and Andy Williamson (10th).
Twenty-seven pairs entered a charity 4BBB Stableford in aid of Macmillan Nurses. Andy Stott and Niall McGreevy won with 49 points. Runners-up were Andy and Tom Williamson with 48 and other good scores included Geoff Wright and Jim McLaughlin, 45, Paul Newton and Richard Hughes, 45, Richard Wimpress and Mark Richardson, 45 and Jonathan Nixon and Trevor Pearson, 44.
Winning two golf balls for a Two were McGreevy (9th), Tom Williamson (17th), Richardson (4th), Martin Laidlow (17th), Jim Beattie (17th) and Charles Neale (9th).
