FLIMBY West Coast Flying Club had 76 entries for its show for young cock or hen, judged by John Devlin, of Harrington.
He gave tickets to: 1, 3, 8, S. Walton; 2, 7, Hadfield and Devlin; 4, R. Donnan; 5, N. Hodgson and granddaughter; 6, Wood and son.
This Sunday’s show is for old cocks, penning 1pm, judging 2pm.
o A show for young hens at Great Clifton attracted 47 entries. It was judged by Ralph Palmer: 1, Evans and Abrams, Workington Victoria; 2, Banks and Kenny, Great Clifton; 3, 4 and 5, Hadfield and Devlin, Workington Victoria; 6 and 7, Evans and Abrams, Workington Victoria.
A show will be held tomorrow for young hens at the Lions Club in Great Clifton. Judging is at 2pm.
Workington & District IFC’s recent show was judged by S Wood of Lowca, who gave the following tickets: 1, K Carr; 2, 3, Varty and son and grandson; 4, J A Edgar; 5, W Hughes; 6, N and G Wordsworth.
o Next Thursday’s Workington & District IFC show at Harrington Legion is for old hens. Penning is at 7pm and judging at 8pm.
Flimby West Coast’s show for young hens had 63 entries, which were judged by Gus Barker and Stephen Barlow.
Tickets went to: 1, 7, J and D Hine and grandson; 2, Hadfield and Devlin; 3, 5, K Graham and daughters; 4, Todd and son; 6, M Little and son; 8, R Donnan.
