BRIDEKIRK Dovenby School has opened the doors of a new club, set up by parents who wanted their children to have a safe place to go after school.
New club: Staff and pupils at the opening of Bridekirk Dovenby’s after-school club
The out-of-school club, which is Ofsted registered, is a not-for-profit scheme and was set up by 10 friends and mothers who worked long hours and wanted a safe place for their children to go before and after school.
The club is run by Heather Bell and Laura Johnson, who provide activities, tailored to the requests of the children who are aged four to 11.
Sessions run in the school hall from 8am to 8.50am and from 3.15pm to 5.30pm.
