Auditions for Penrith Players
Last updated 05:15, Friday, 28 November 2008
Penrith Players are holding auditions for next year’s production of Twelfth Night on Thursday.
Twelfth Night will run from Tuesday, April 14 and Saturday, April 18 at Penrith Playhouse. The director will be Mike Head. He said: “People don’t need to prepare anything. I want to see what they can do on stage and will have things for them to do on the day.
“The play will be set in a seaside resort in the 50s or 60s. It is full of great characters, romance and comedy. I like to give actors opportunities to develop and shape parts, and this play will give us ample opportunity.”
Rehearsals will start in the New Year and will be blocked so that only actors required on that day need attend. Mike Head has directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Merchant of Venice for the Players. Auditions start at 8pm. Those who are interested but can’t make the audition can contact Mike Head on 01768 862511.
