Park and ride is the answer

Regarding the article ‘Student on collision course over parking’ (News & Star, November 25).
Complaint: Student Gary Clark is angry about parking near the college
Here we have a clear case for park and ride. Gary Clark is not the only one to suffer. What about the people who live in this area?
It would probably also help the cash-strapped city council with money from the parking. This would free the city car parks for all the visitors that come to visit and shop, making it a pleasure to come to Carlisle.
