Carlisle bridge badly needs work
Last updated 13:53, Wednesday, 03 December 2008
Regarding the story on Lund Crescent-Denton Holme Bridge (News & Star, December 1).
The bridge looks like the bridge that time forgot.
It is dilapidated and decaying and is unfit for the purpose, especially on wet days as the steps are slippy and it must be difficult to take prams and bicycles down.
It needs some attention now and plans drawing up for the future (make that the near future).
I have travelled around the country and not seen one in such poor condition.
