THESE are the faces of some of west and north Cumbria’s worst offenders who helped bring misery to our streets.
Barry Hunter, of Carlisle: Jailed indefinitely after being found guilty of four counts of sexual assault, involving penetration and one of assault causing actual bodily harm
They are all now behind bars after a series of police operations brought a string of successes and lengthy jail sentences in the last year.
Work by officers has seen some of Workington and Whitehaven’s most hardened criminals taken off the streets.
Cumbrian detectives have issued a warning to anyone thinking of picking up the mantle, highlighting the lengthy spells in prison for anyone caught.
Detective Inspector Cliff Walker said: “We haven’t finished yet.”
