IN THE Thompson’s Scaffolding Services Under-10s League, the battle for the championship looks to be going right down to the wire.
Upperby Park’s victory over Cockermouth at the weekend secured first place for them, and they only need to win their last two for a 100 per cent record in the league. In the B league, Langwathby need three points from their last four games to finish top over second placed Keswick.
Five teams remain in the League Cup; Castletown Whites, Hesket, Castletown Blues, Upperby Park and Cockermouth. Upperby Park will play either Penrith Utd Whites or Hesket in the final of the Robert Irving Cup.
Castletown Blues need Workington Reds to lose both of their last two games to top them in the AST Signs Under-16s League. In the Tommy Hall Memorial Cup, four teams remain; Kingstown Utd, Alston, Workington Reds and Cockermouth B. In the Ted Nanson Trophy, Workington will meet Keswick.
