NADINE Anne Adair, 21, is a pensions administrator for Sellafield Limited, and Adam William Walker, 24, is a print team leader for Alcan Packaging and a retained firefighter. They live in Frizington.
HOW THEY MET: Through friends at the Plaza Cinema in Workington while seeing American Pie 2 in October 2001.
PROPOSAL: Adam proposed to Nadine at her surprise 18th birthday party on February 20, 2004.
VENUE: St Mary’s RC Church, Cleator on September 15, 2007.
THEME: Chocolate and orange.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: Diamond white Maggie Sottero satin strapless dress with Swarovski crystals, a cathedral veil and a tiara from I Do, Cockermouth.
GROOMSMEN: Ian Stewart, 23, and the groom’s brother-in-law Steven Walker, 29, were best men. The bride’s uncle Richard Adair, 33, and the bride’s cousin Arron Adair, 15, were ushers. They wore chocolate brown suits with orange waistcoats and ruche ties from Well Suited, Cockermouth. The couple’s one-year-old nephew Layton Dockwray was page boy. He wore a white suit from Little Angels, Workington with a ruche tie and handkerchief made by Alysons, Cockermouth.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride’s sister Charlene Adair, 20, was chief bridesmaid. The bride’s sisters Danielle Adair, 17, and Siobhann Adair, 15, and the groom’s sister Emma Walker, 22, were bridesmaids.They wore Raylia dresses from I Do.
FLOWERS: A bouquet of mango calla lilies with roses, gerberas, aspidistra leaves, bear grass and silver crystals. The bridesmaids had smaller versions from Cottage Garden, Cockermouth.
TRANSPORT: Open-top Beauford and Rolls Royces from A Touch Of Class, Workington.
RECEPTION: Hundith Hill Hotel, Cockermouth for 92 guests with a further 80 in the evening.
TABLE SETTINGS: Vases with gerbera, aspidistra leaves and bear grass with water, clear crystals and water lights. Provided by Cottage Garden.
FAVOURS: Candles in a box for the ladies, chocolates from Saunders, Rheged for the men, both with thank-you notes from L’Invitation, Plumbland. Goodie bags for the children.
CAKE: Four-tier chocolate and jam sponge cake with gerberas made by Gillian Marr, of Mealsgate; and a Chocolate Fountain from Fountains of Desire, Egremont.
FIRST DANCE: There You’ll Be by Faith Hill.
ENTERTAINMENT: David Warwick from Boogie Nights.
HONEYMOON: Mexico.
