It's an exciting and worrying time

I HATE this time of the season. If your team are going for promotion or fighting off relegation then every game becomes 90 bum-twitching minutes.
I’m glad to see that Workington Reds are now all but assured of another season in Blue Square North.
The win against Hyde, I feel, has all made the climax to this season quite relaxing.
However, with 15 points still to play for, I think Reds manager Darren Edmondson will disagree and want to get as high up the league as he can.
Even though Barrow took the points on Tuesday night it was nice to see Michael Reed and Johnny Wright playing up front together again.
It hasn’t happened too many times this season, after the pair were in red hot form at the start of the campaign.
Matthew Berkeley has done very well up front when he’s been on the pitch but I still feel Reds need extra fire power. Carlisle United could do with the same.
Workington-born Scott Dobie is now getting a run in the team, but playing out of position on the right.
United’s draw with Swansea on Tuesday night was exactly what you expect a top of the table clash to go.
However, it was an entertaining 0-0 draw, which you can’t often say.
The Blues never really threatened but did have two good chances.
Swansea, with all their flair, out-passed and out-manoeuvred Carlisle, but couldn’t break them down.
With just four games to go and six points above Doncaster, it is looking good for John Ward’s men.
It’s not just league competitions which are now coming to a conclusion.
I wonder what odds you would have got at the start of the season for a Portsmouth v Cardiff FA Cup Final?
And in the Champions League, how exciting it is to have three out of the English four teams fighting for the title.
Man United have a tough ask against Barcelona, but back in Spain they are seven points adrift of Real Madrid and have lost six times this season.
Wayne Rooney is on an incredible run. Not with his goal scoring, but by playing more than 30 games in a United shirt and not losing.
It’s another 90 bum-twitching, stomach churning minutes for the Blues tomorrow. Leeds away. In the league. Who would have thought that three years ago?
