MARYPORT is to again host a Thai boxing international.
The fast, furious three-way event explodes into action at the town’s Civic Hall on February 9.
It is being organised by Tommy Collins of the Maryport Dragons Thai boxing club.
Collins used to regularly stage internationals in Maryport but because of other commitments hasn’t done so for three years.
The international will pitch fighters from England, Germany and Scotland against each other.
And the line-up will include 10 Cumbrian-based fighters, mainly from Maryport, Workington and Keswick.
Taking part will be ex-world champion Matt Hodgson, of Dearham, North Area champion Zoe Green, of Keswick, and Junior British champion Jackson Barkhouse, of Maryport.
Tickets are now on sale and can be obtained by ringing Collins on 07979406855.
