Most of the news on the local economy in recent weeks has been bad. With job losses, companies facing difficulties and more people struggling with debt, economists now predict we are heading for a recession.
I WAS extremely surprised and disappointed to hear of the impending closure of Border TV’s studios with the loss of 51 jobs.n SO DESPITE the thousands of viewers signatures, and the real efforts of concerned local politicians and businessmen, Ofcom has addressed the needs of the ITV companies rather the needs of viewers in the Border TV region.
