Published 7 August 2008
Reading the interviews with former Carlisle United owner Fred Story and new chief executive David Allen it is obvious that Carlisle United are at a sustainable level in Division One.
It’s too hard to fathom what’s gone on
Published 9 July 2008
I find it very hard to believe that Fred Story has sold out to a man who sold the club to Michael Knighton and three very inexperienced businessmen in the footballing circle.
Football League back what we have had in practice for years!
Published 9 July 2008
IT has recently been announced that the “football authorities” are to prevent the publication of league tables in football competitions involving under eight year old players.
I just can’t believe it!
Published 9 July 2008
I READ the news of the new ownership of CUFC with great disappointment and disbelief.
Westwood is worth £1 million
Published 18 June 2008
AS A Carlisle United fan of more than 30 years, I cannot believe the derisory offer of around £700,000 being contemplated by the club for keeper Keiren Westwood.
It’s third tier soccer again for United
Published 29 May 2008
Sad but true, it’s third tier football at least for another season.
Let’s build Bridges
Published 29 May 2008
I said after the Bournemouth game that Carlisle would not get promoted after the play-offs, simply because the manager did not pick the right team or play the right game at the time.
A blessing in disguise
Published 29 May 2008
THE failure of Carlisle United to gain promotion to the Championship may be a blessing in disguise.

Tremendous achievement
Published 7 May 2008
IT IS undoubtedly disappointing not to have secured automatic promotion. But to finish in the play-offs for the Championship having gone through near-bankruptcy, then climbed back up progressively both on and off the field, is a tremendous achievement.
Leave off Rio

I HAVE just read the comments made in your newspaper by Miss A Little concerning Rio Ferdinand and the said fracas at Chelsea.
4-5-1 system is wrong
Published 3 May 2008
It's down to the manager to motivate players and rotate the system but if you haven’t got the squad to motivate you can’t do it and we are now struggling with this.
Fans deserve better

I GAVE up my weekend to go to Millwall and it was the worst Carlisle performance ever. I, along with 60 other fans, asked the police to let us out with 20 minutes to go.
Not convinced
Published 3 May 2008
I AM not convinced that a club with Carlisle United’s limited resources have the necessary available finance to purchase the number of quality players the club would need to sustain a place in the Championship.
