Cumbria Nines lose out

SUPER League outfit Hull KR disposed of a young Cumbria side in the Carnegie Floodlit Nines last Wednesday night.
But, despite going out in the first round, 34-0, Cumbrian officials hailed the event a success and are keen to return.
Cumbria went to the tournament, at Headingley, with an under-strength team due to all three Cumbrian clubs either being in action or preparing for their up and coming play-off clashes.
Wigan star and former Hensingham amateur Lee Mossop was Cumbria’s only Super League player in their ranks but some of the future talent did not let them down.
