New sport skills for students

A HOST of Whitehaven School students have completed their HSE certified first aid course.
The course, taken as part of the Youth Sports Trust Sports Leaders Award, has equipped the students with the skills and training to be able to provide first aid primary school children while they are coaching sport. The course was run by Simon Clooney.
The successful pupils are as follows: Hollie Sant, Abby Pearson, Ceri Scothbrook, Tom Salmon, George Turnball, Adam Messenger, Rebecca Jones, Rosie Napier, Robyn Scott, Simeon Lee, Vicky Mills, Lesley Riley, Jonathon Crosby, Rachael Joyce, Hannah Mitchell, Declan Mossop, Alex Brown, Natalie Gibson-Harrison, Gregg McNally, Holly Wilbraham, Adam Richardson, Giorgia Youngs, Craig Rogan, Alex Crosby, Jonathon Stewart, Laura Rowell, Danielle Lee and Kayleigh Parr.
Pupils from Whitehaven School also raised £2,327.60 by completing the Sport Relief mile. They are pictured presenting the cheque.
