THERE’S ghostly goings on in Gosforth in the run up to Hallowe’en.
Gosforth Amateur Dramatic Society is performing The Ghost Train, by Arnold Ridley (better known as Private Godfrey from Dad’s Army) at the village’s public hall.
The thriller runs from October 16-18, at 7.30pm.
It promises a chance to be thrilled and entertained in the waiting room of a 1920's rural station. Not to be missed if you are a lover of all things supernatural.
For tickets telephone 019467-25351.
GADS have also teamed up for the first time with the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway on two ghost train specials.
On October 31 and November 1 and 2 there is a chance to ride the ghost train from Ravenglass through Eskdale, up to Castle Dalegarth – who knows what will happen as the train keeps drawing to an eerie halt! Each child gets a free Hallowe’en gift. Telephone 01229 717171 for details.
