LOWES Court Gallery, in Egremont is currently holding its annual Open Exhibition until November 4.
This year there will be a prize for the best exhibit, judged by The Whitehaven News cartoonist Trevor Green.
Following on from this, from November 8 to December 24 there will be the arts and crafts for Christmas event.
This will include new work by regular Cumbrian artists and new ones.
On Wednesday, October 29, there will be a feltmaking and weaving workshop for Egremont children. This will be taken by Steve Wilson of Eden Valley Scarves.
After five years helping steer the gallery forwards, chairman Rob Owens has retired, replaced by new chairman Phil Oxford (pictured above). The gallery’s AGM is on November 10, at 7.30pm.
