Relax... and then sparkle

Beauty tips

LYNDSEY Bragg, 25, has been a beauty therapist for seven years and now runs her own mobile business – including St Tropez tanning – contact 07877170004.

She offers her tips for the best way to look good this Christmas.

  •  DON’T RUSH WHEN GETTING READY TO GO OUT. Pamper yourself, run a Radox bath and just lie back and relax for 10 minutes.
  • WHILST IN THE BATH DO A MINI-FACIAL. Cleanse, exfoliate your face then apply a face mask. This will make the perfect base for your make-up.
  • USE A SUGAR OR SALT SCRUB ON YOUR BODY. These contain essential oils so they exfoliate and moisturise in one.
  • IF YOU ARE BARING A LOT OF FLESH AND ARE LOOKING PASTY, THEN THINK ABOUT FAKE TAN! St Tropez classic treatment is good as it includes full exfoliation for a smooth, even tan. (Have the day before though).
  •  FOR A SOFT SPARKLE, APPLY A HIGH-LIGHTER CREAM OR POWDER ON COLLARBONES, CLEAVAGE AND CALVES – or anywhere that the light will hit your skin.
  •  RED LIPS ARE BIG THIS SEASON. To keep the look modern, keep the rest of your make-up simple. The best shade for you should make your teeth whiter, your eyes sparkle and your skin brighter. If a lipstick is too much for you, use a lip-gloss or tint instead.
  • FOR FULL-ON GLAMOUR APPLY FALSE LASHES. Cut them to fit your lashes and look down whilst applying them.
  • THIS CHRISTMAS, NAILS SHOULD BE OVAL, SHORTISH AND DARK. A deep, almost black, red is very in.
