A bold re-telling of kids’ tales

THE new cast has arrived for Theatre By The Lake’s Christmas show.
Rehearsals for Grimm Tales have started and it opens on Saturday, November 28 and runs until Saturday, January 9.
Six of the seven strong cast are performing at the Keswick theatre for the first time. They are Alys Torance, Caitlin Thorburn, Nadia Morgan, James Baldwin, Robin Samson and Noel White.
The seventh member of the cast, an actor well known to Keswick audiences, is Kieran Buckeridge who last appeared in A Christmas Carol in 2008.
The production promises an awe-inspiring set. Six traditional childhood tales will be re-told in a bold, theatrical style, transporting the audience to a world where everyday objects become something quite different and live percussion music comes from the most unlikely sources.
Directed by Stefan Escreet, tickets for the show (£8-£21) are on sale on 017687 74411.
