Tell us what you think of our new website

Have your say

Welcome to the Whitehaven News's new look website.

We've worked hard to improve the website, improving your experience of using the paper online by making content easier to find and adding many new features.

Have a look around and you'll find new features that include:

  • The facility to add comments on some stories like this one.
  • Bigger pictures and slideshows to display the best of our photographs.
  • More video online.
  • Easy-to-find links to Whitehaven News staff.

We've still got some work to do and will be rolling out further new features in the coming weeks.

But now we want to hear your views and suggestions via the reader comments facility below so please use the opportunity to add your comments and questions.

Alternatively, you can email Nick Turner, head of digital content development for Cumbrian Newspapers.

I really do find the grey font colour quite difficult to read. Could you make the font darker, or maybe put it on a dark background.

People generally don't like change, if for no other reason that information and articles are no longer in their "usual" place - I will reserve judgement until I have had a chance to become familiar with the new layout.

I am having trouble using the site and finding the subjects which interest me. The content panels are now at the top of each page as a white bar and blue bar. The blue bar headings change as you click each section
