Former Seascale PC dies, aged 46

MALCOLM Ruddick, a Cumbria police officer who formerly served in Seascale, has died from cancer, aged 46.
A funeral service for PC Ruddick was held on Tuesday at Penrith.
He had been the community PC in the town before ill health forced him to retire, last November.
Chief Constable for Cumbria, Craig Mackey said PC Ruddick was a popular and dedicated officer and praised the positive effect he had on the communities in which he served.
