£100k grant saves Rape Crisis body

WEST Cumbria Rape Crisis has been resurrected, following a grant of more than £100,000 from the Northern Rock Foundation.
The grant has secured the charity’s future for the next three years.
Carol Tindall, chair said: “I think for the last 18 months to two years every charity in Cumbria has been facing the same thing, looking for money to keep going.
“We thought we were going to be closing last year”.
