Gosforth Show changes to a Saturday
Last updated 11:58, Monday, 15 September 2008
GOSFORTH Show is moving to a Saturday from next year.
Skelton Show has decided to move their show from the third Saturday in August to the first Saturday in July and Gosforth Show has taken the opportunity to move to the vacant Saturday.
Show secretary Henry Stewart said: “Gosforth Show has been keen to move to weekend day for some years now as it is felt that with more and more households having two working members there would be a better opportunity to attract more people.
“If we can attract more paying customers this will hopefully mean a bigger show.”
The Show for 2009 will be on Saturday, August 15th and it will be the third Saturday in August thereafter.
