Group attack in Whitehaven town centre

A MAN was subjected to a group assault as he walked through Whitehaven town centre in the early hours of Friday (Sept 26)
The 30-year-old was attacked by a group of men on Howgill Street at 3am and was left lying in the street.
The victim said he was chased from James Street by a group in their twenties and suffered a broken nose and was left unconscious . He was hospitalised afterwards.
He suffered facial injuries from what police are calling an “unprovoked attack”.
