Egremont Fur and Feather Show is a 60th success

EGREMONT Fur and Feather Society’s 60th annual open show took place in Egremont Civic Hall, on Saturday, November 8.

Entries were slightly down on previous years but there were 434 exhibits, and the judges said the quality was of a very high standard.

Graham Thornton, from Carnforth, had the best bird in the show, with a white leghorn bantam male. Reserve champion was a wheaten old English game pullet, shown by L & J Grant (Northumberland).

Local exhibitors were among the main winners. Egremont partnership Paul Clements and Paul Denver won four trophies for the best aucona bantam; best australope bantam; champion true bantam and champion heavy breed bantam.
